At Nintendo’s E3 conference today, Shigeru Miyamoto outlined the company’s future plans for The Legend of Zelda series. Alongside the release of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening through the 3DS e-shop, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will hit stores  worldwide next weekend. Nintendo will also be releasing a free download version of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure over DSi Ware. Finally, Mr. Miyamoto announced that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be available worldwide this holiday season, along with a golden Zelda-themed Wii Remote.

Aside from game releases, Nintendo will be celebrating the Zelda‘s 25th anniversary with a series of concerts and music CDs. The company revealed that The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Concert would take place in each region of the world this fall. The first CD to be released will be a soundtrack for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, and will be free for the first group of gamers that registers the game. The second will be based on the concert series, and will be released at the same time as Skyward Sword.

Miyamoto promised further anniversary announcements at a later date.
