Somebody call for a media update? No? Well too bad, ’cause I just spent all day hauling it around and I am not putting this back on the truck. A few details have surfaced about the Blue Dragon Plus sequel for the Nintendo DS, which was recently annouced in Shonen Jump. The official name, Blue Dragon: Ikai no Kyojyuu, translates as Blue Dragon: Behemoth of the Otherworld. It’s being produced by Namco Bandai and Mistwalker and is being left in the hands of Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi and Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball fame. The game will feature 3D combat and allow players to personalize the appearance of their character. A trailer of the game was shown off at the Jump Festa event this past weekend and is now available on the game’s official site.
Blue Dragon : Behemoth of the Otherworld is due out in early 2009 in Japan.
