Bravely Second will now be known as Bravely Second: End Layer, Square Enix recently announced. Furthermore, up through the end of May, Square Enix Members can upload Bravely Second save data to unlock special costumes for Magnolia, Yuu, Edea, and Tiz.
The title is set for an April 23 release in Japan.
Square Enix continues to dominate the news cycle, setting the Japanese release date for Bravely Second at April 23. Standard editions are priced at 5,980 yen, with the collector’s pack weighing in at 14,800 yen; the latter includes a Pope Agnes figurine, artbook, mini soundtrack, and notebook, along with retailer-specific downloadable bonuses.
Another week, another tidbit about Bravely Second; this time Square Enix has revealed the game’s villains. The aptly-named Emperor Oblivion runs the show from behind a mask, and orchestrates both the attack on the signing ceremony and Agnes’ kidnapping. He’s assisted by a fairy named Anne, about whom even less is known beyond her preference for black clothing.
Producer Tomoya Asano also stated that a demo is in the works, although an exact timeframe was not given beyond “very shortly.”
More details about Bravely Second‘s cast have been released, specifically those of the Three Musketeers, the group sworn to protect the Crystal Orthodoxy. Main character Yuu is the group’s leader, also known as the “Falcon of the Gale.” Jean, a veteran soldier and expert swordfighter, is Musketeer #2, called the “Wolf of Blazing Fire.” Third and last is Nikolai, the “Rugged Python”, who serves as the group’s priest.
