Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Wii will be delayed by one week in PAL territories. Chocobo will now begin his dungeon crawling on November 7.
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon concerns the efforts of Cid and his partner chocobo, aptly named Chocobo, adventurers who are seeking the assistance of Timeless Power, a gem that they plan to use to build an airship. Along the way, the heroes find themselves thrown into another world, Memoria, where those who listen to the bell of the clock tower will begin to lose their memories. Chocobo gains the ability to enter dungeons created by the memory loss phenomenon and restore the forgotten memories, though many of the townspeople are reluctant to remember at first. This past June, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Nintendo Wii would be coming to PAL territories. Today it confirmed that it will be available on October 31, 2008.
For those who can’t get enough of Square Enix’s avian adventurer, Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Nintendo Wii hits store shelves today. Players can now help chocobo battle through dungeons and master classic Final Fantasy job classes such as Black Mage. The game is rated E10+ and retails for 39.99 USD.
Square Enix today embraced the concept of virtual reality when it announced two new games, not at a press conference in Tokyo, but rather at an online event in the Square Enix Members Virtual World. PAL gamers who want to get their hands on Final Fantasy‘s cutest avian adventurer are now in luck. Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Nintendo Wii will be headed to PAL territories this fall.
“Chocobo has been a firm favourite with Final Fantasy fans for years, and players will be able to see him take centre stage and come to life in his very own adventure,” commented John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. “Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon will appeal to fans of the Final Fantasy series along with younger Nintendo Wii owners looking for an engrossing adventure.”
