It’s Tuesday, so it’s time for this week’s shipment of new reasons to be poor. This week, all the action is from Square Enix. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time for Wii and DS. Interestingly enough, the Wii version is a port of its handheld brother, and cross-platform play is possible. Both versions retail for $39.99.
PC gamers that don’t have an Xbox 360 can finally get their hands on The Last Remnant. If having physical discs isn’t your thing, it’ll be available on Steam starting April 9. Either version will set you back $39.99.
If last week didn’t break your wallet with all the games hitting at the same time, this one might. Square Enix is bringing Star Ocean: The Last Hope for 360 and The Last Remnant for PC. They retail for 59.99 and 39.99 respectively. If the retail scene isn’t for you, The Last Remnant will also be available on Steam starting April 9.
The DS will be getting a lot of action as well. Atlus ships Legacy of Ys: Books 1 & 2 for 34.99, and all launch copies come with a free soundtrack. Blue Dragon Plus from Ignition will hit shelves for 29.99. Last but not least, D3’s Puzzle Quest Galactrix is now available for 29.99
North American and PAL PC gamers will be able to able to get their hands on some Square Enix goodness in 2009. The company announced today the Windows version of Last Remnant will make the jump from the 360 to the PC in spring.
Square Enix today released some details regarding upcoming downloadable content for Last Remnant for the Xbox 360. The four download packs are all due out in December and three of them are free. The free downloads consist of two packs providing more challenging guild quests and another offering up a new dungeon. A pack including new battle formations will also be available for 100 points.

Square Enix decided to celebrate my birthday with a worldwide launch of Last Remnant. It’s a completely new IP for the Xbox 360. It’s rated M for Mature and is available for $59.99.
