XSEED Games has announced that Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will hit the PS3 and PS Vita in North America on April 1. The PS3 version weighs in at $39.99 for both retail and digital versions; the Vita is identically priced at retail and includes a bonus soundtrack CD, whereas the downloadable version costs $34.99.

Did you remember that E3 is just a few weeks away? XSEED Games remembers, and here’s what they’ll be putting on display: Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, Rune Factory 4, Valhalla Knights 3, and Ys: Memories of Celceta.
Speaking of Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, XSEED confirmed the PS3/PSVita title will launch in North America and Europe this winter. Apart from new game content over the original Ragnarok Odyssey, this enhanced version will feature cross-platform play between the two titles.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will unfortunately not be released on July 11 in Japan as planned. In the announcement, GungHo Online Entertainment stated only that the delay is due to “various circumstances,” which were not specified. No new release date was given.

Gung-Ho has confirmed that Ragnarok Odyssey, the PSVita action-RPG, has sold and shipped over 100,000 copies between both retail and download versions. The company is commemorating the milestone with a Twitter campaign about how one would use ¥100,000, with a ¥100,000 prize for whoever has the best idea.

Gamearts and Gung Ho have announced that Ragnarok Odyssey, their PSVita multiplayer action-RPG, will see a third expansion geared around epic weapons. Specifically, the content adds said weapons, an “updated weapon system,” and 17 new quests. The content goes live starting June 21.

Ragnarok Odyssey has just received its first expansion, adding full online support over the initial ad-hoc only multiplayer. Paired with the release, Gung-Ho has given details about two upcoming expansions. The second will include a desert stage from Ragnarok Online, along with additional quests, and is set to launch sometime in April. The third adds still more quests, chat macros, more character customization choices, and other features.

Ragnarok Odyssey, Gamearts’ action-RPG for the PS Vita, will not ship with built-in support for online play. Rather, the company is planning a post-release update to add this function. CEO Kazuki Morishita indicated the patch will go live soon after release, though an exact date was not given.
Odyssey, which will ship with four player ad-hoc play, is currently set for a February 2 release.
