Dust off those PSPs: Gaijinworks and MonkeyPaw have announced plans to localize Summon Night 5 and Class of Heroes 3 for a western release. While few details have been given at this time, the companies will be polling to determine demand for a limited physical run of the titles – available via preorder only – which would also include access to the digital version.
With original developer Flight Plan shuttered in 2010, the Summon Night series falls to studio Felistella, Namco Bandai revealed recently. Founded in 2007 by ex-Flight Plan staff, Felistella will be heading development on Summon Night 5, along with the PSP ports of 3 and 4.
Namco Bandai has confirmed that Summon Night 5 is in development for the PSP in Japan, with series veterans Takeshi Iizuka and Kei Miyakozuki on the team. While no release date was given, ports of Summon Night 3 and 4 are also on the way, set for respective release dates of October 4 and November 15. No worldwide release was mentioned.
