Date, Details Revealed for Xenoblade

The official Xenoblade site has just been updated with, among other things, a Japanese release date and more details about the game world.

Nintendo’s collaboration with Monolith Soft – the people behind Xenosaga, not to be confused with Monolith Productions – is due out June 10. Some technical specs were revealed, namely that the game will have three save files available and is compatible with both the Wiimote/Nunchuck and classic controllers.

As for the game world, names have been given for the two derelict gods upon which people live: Kyoshin, the “giant god,” and Kishin, the “machine god.” Additionally, those who live on Kyoshin are divided into three tribes, and some details have been provided on each: the Homs most closely resemble humans and possess a midlevel civilization; the Nopons are primarily traveling merchants, distributed evenly across Kyoshin; and the Nienter are rumored to be an advanced civilization residing on the ‘head’ of Kyoshin.

A US release for Xenoblade has not been announced.
