Bethesda Announces Fallout New Vegas Voices
In an update on their official blog, Bethesda revealed more of the voice talent and their roles for the upcoming Fallout New Vegas. Most following the game know by now that Wayne Newton will star as “Mr. New Vegas,” the Vegas radio DJ. Ron Perlman giving the narration should come as no surprise either. What should surprise is that Michael Dorn, who voiced Marcus the Super Mutant in Fallout 2, will also be reprising that role in New Vegas.
Various other celebrities have signed on as well: Matthew Perry will voice a “smooth-talking, two-faced gangster” named Benny; Kris Kristofferson is Chief Hanlon, an old soldier nearing the end of his career; Rene Auberjonois is a secretive fellow known only as “Mr. House” (rumors of a possible vicodin addiction have met with no comment); John Doman heads Caesar’s Legion as, well, Caesar; and William Sadler is Victor, a friendly robot who acts like an old-school cowboy.
Potential companions were also detailed: Raul, a ghoul gadgeteer and firearms expert, will be voiced by Danny Trejo; Zach Levi is Arcade, a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse, a group last seen in the first Fallout; and Felicia Day lends her voice to a sarcastic Brotherhood of Steel scribe known as Veronica.
The blog entry mentions other celebrity cameos throughout the game. New Vegas will launch on October 19.
