There has been wild speculation over the past week about what the new announcement would be at Blizzard’s event in Paris. Speculate no more. It’s finally official, Diablo III is coming.

Diablo III takes place twenty years after the events of Diablo II. Even though Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, the world is not safe because the the Worldstone has been destroyed. It prevented the forces of the High Heavens and the Burning Hells from wrecking havoc, but now evil is returning in Tristram again. Of course, that means it’s time bust out all those powerful weapons, spells, items, and abilities to go out and kill some demons and save the world.

Players will get to pick from one of the five available character classes. So far two have been announced: barbarian and witch doctor. If you need to know more, you can always check out the game’s official website.
