Atlus Seeks Treatment for Eternal Poison

RPG fans wanting to get a little more use out of their trusty PlayStation 2 have yet another title to look forward to. Atlus announced today that it would be bringing Eternal Poison to North America this fall.

Released in Japan as Poison Pink, the game is a dark fantasy made up of five interconnected story lines. The story begins when a demonic realm known as Besek appears. Its inhabitants, the Majin, proceed to wreak havoc and, like any sensible villains, kidnap the princess. Adventurers of every sort follow after them into the realm of Besek, some to help Princess Valdia, others for their own reasons. Rumor has it the realm of Besek holds a secret known as the Eternal Poison, that can grant its possessor his deepest desire.

Players will take control of five separate parties that have entered Besek, guiding them through a series of branching paths as well as optional encounters. Decisions players make will affect the ending of each tale. Demons (the mundane sort and bosses as well) can be bound to the player’s will during battle and later summoned… or sacrificed to net the player a new spell or some spending money.

Every copy of Eternal Poison will come with a CD featuring a selection of music from the game. Eternal Poison is due out on November 11 at a suggested retail price of $39.99.
