Persona, Growlanser Go Portable
Square Enix isn’t the only company going in for portable remakes of late. According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Atlus will be bringing ports/remakes of Persona and Growlanser to the PSP in Japan.
The first Persona game originally appeared on the PlayStation back in 1996. The PSP version will feature modest changes such as more numerous save points, changes to the encounter rate, and a variety of difficulty settings. It was also receive some shiny new movies to help the story along. Similarly, the updated Growlanser (also originally for the PlayStation) will feature changes battles and new artwork for cutscenes. A new character by the name of Amelia will be added, as will extra scenarios for some of the original cast.
Persona for the PSP will hit Japanese shelves on April 29 for 5,229 yen while Growlanser is expected on May 14 for 6,090 yen.

Woot, Persona remake! Hopefully that means we’ll get both halves of P2, assuming this remake does well. It’s not the SMT 1&2 remake I wanted, but hell, I’ll take it. ^^
