Fallout 3 PC Edit Tool Goes Live, DLC Detailed
It’s been a busy couple days for Fallout 3 fans. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the PC edit tool, and Bethesda has finally given them their Garden of Eden Creation Kit, known by many as a G.E.C.K. This tool will give players the ability to modify landscapes, locations, dialogue, and more. One could, for instance, completely redo the ending, or the tool could be used to create new monsters or even recreate the first two games. Do you have the PC version? Get your G.E.C.K.
Details about the game’s upcoming DLC packs have been announced as well.
The packs will cost 10 dollars each and will add 3-4 hours of gameplay. The first is titled “Operation Anchorage,” and it will allow players to access a military simulator to instantly “teleport” to Anchorage before the bombs fell. Thanks to the watchful eyes of Sarah Palin, you won’t be fighting any Russians in Anchorage. Instead, you’ll be fighting Chinese troops. Lots of them. As a bonus, all the technologies unlocked will become available in the main game, and players will be able to get a new perk called Covert Ops.
The second set is titled “The Pitt,” and players will be able to explore Pittsburgh. Unlike the other cities visited in Fallout games, Pittsburgh never got bombed, but it’s still in pretty bad shape.
The third set is called “Broken Steel,” and not much is known about it yet except that it will finally raise the level cap, add some new bad guys, and of course, offer new perks.
