In this day and age, “exclusive” rarely means what it used to. Fallout 3 on Xbox 360 and PC touted exclusive downloadable content that will soon be coming to a PlayStation 3 near you. After a patch that will allow PS3 owners to download the DLC, Operation: Anchorage will hit the PS3 in late June with The Pitt and Broken Steel following four to six weeks apart. Bethesda also announced two new DLC packs. The first is Point Lookout, a swamp filled with new quests. It will cost 800 MS points or $9.99 on PSN. As for when it will be available, Xbox and PC owners still get first dibs; they will get access to it in late June. PS3 owners will have to wait until some time after Broken Steel is released.

The second pack is Mothership Zeta, in which you get to experience an alien abduction. Details are scarce at this time, but the usual release schedule will be in effect. Xbox 360 and PC get it in late July; PS3 owners will get their hands on it after Point Lookout is released.

In other news, DLC will also be available in retail form for 360 and Games for Windows Live. DLC Pack 1 will include Operation Anchorage and The Pitt when it hits May 26. In August, Pack 2 will have Broken Steel and Point Lookout. Bethesda said that these packs will not be available for PS3, and they will have to be downloaded via PSN.

One final announcement is that there will be a Game of the Year edition for Fallout 3 in October that includes all five DLC packs. It will cost $59.99 on 360 and PS3 and $49.99 on PC.
