Current Quests – Week of 03/23/08

It’s pretty easy to wrap up what everyone’s doing this week:

Cortney “Alethea” Stone – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Jerry “XeroZohar” Swain – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
John “Karlinn” Boske – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Jordan “J_Sensei” Jackson – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Michael “CactuarJoe” Beckett – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Michael “Slayer of God” Kozinko – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
T.J. “Nerdboy Himself” Condon – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Me – Super Smash Bros. Brawl

But in all seriousness, and since Slayer would probably kill me for this otherwise, let’s move on to what we’re really doing…

Cortney “Alethea” Stone is, um, playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl…^^;;; But! She’s playing other stuff too, namely Wild ARMS XF. See, totally different. >_>;

Jerry “XeroZohar” Swain is also playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He’s joined me online for a few matches as well, though the lag between us was pretty bad. He used Samus in all of our battles, and in keeping with that theme, is playing Metroid Zero Mission and some Super Metroid on the side. I’d make a comment about not enough RPGs here, but it’s Smash Bros. week so I’ll let it slide.

John “Karlinn” Boske is not playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Instead, he’s been working on the lovely podcast that just went up, as well as the Witcher, along with a secret RPG that shouldn’t be too difficult to guess if you’ve read or listened to pretty much anything he’s said, and plotting his takeover of the website. Oh yeah, he’s playing Condemned 2 as well. I’m not sure which scares me more. Actually, I do. Condemned by a long shot.

Jordan “J_Sensei” Jackson is playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl a lot as well. Also as Samus. Fending off two Samus barrages in heavy lag with a melee character was an…interesting experience for me. But I digress. He has also picked up FFCC: Ring of Fates and has been playing through an import of Mother.

Michael “CactuarJoe” Beckett is not playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He managed to finish FFCC: Ring of Fates already, but he’s feeling pretty bad, so his review is on hold for a bit. I’d make a joke about the miasma here, but I think they removed it from this iteration of the series.

Michael “Slayer of God” Kozinko is not playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl either, and he will probably still hurt me for suggesting that he did. Instead, he’s been fighting against abominations in Resident Evil 0 and creating his own abominations in Pokemon. Anything described as “the most irritating Pokemon alive” makes me a bit glad that CactuarJoe or Nerdboy will most likely be dealing with it instead of me.

T.J. “Nerdboy Himself” Condon is playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, though he’s been a bit under the weather and busy too. On the RPG side of things, he’s managed to sneak in a few minutes of Pokemon Emerald here and there.

As for me…this week was very heavy on work, but I’m finally, finally free for a bit. As you can guess from previous lines, I have picked up Super Smash Bros. Brawl as well, though I haven’t been able to play it much. Also, I’ve been using an RPG character, Marth, so that makes it alright >_>. Aside from that, I have been somewhat productive on the side, behind the scenes. I’m not really sure why my video program stopped working, which is a little bit frustrating since I’d put a good deal of time into several video reviews. If all goes well, I’ll have that fixed up by the end of the week. In the meantime, I picked up another video program, but it can’t load the projects from the other program. Sigh. Well, at least I can start doing something for you guys again. Anyway, on the RPG side, I’ve been working on finishing up a few games that I started earlier, such as Riviera, and starting a secret project.

Ah yes, finally, there will be a bonus movie in a little bit to go along with this week’s Quests as a bit of an apology for not having any for a few weeks.

This week’s quote:
[19:32] CactuarJoe: Personally, I’ve always believed that when aliens descend to Earth, the main things we will trade with them for fusion drive and wormhole tech are Tetris and those little cars Shriners ride in.

I most certainly will hurt you if you suggest it again.
