As long as we’re talking Square Enix, the company also revealed more information about Final Fantasy Explorers. Of particular note:

• More jobs have been listed, including Hunter, Paladin, Ninja, Time Mage, Dragoon, and Dark Knight.
• Shiva, Ramuh, and Fenrir have been confirmed as summons.
• In multiplayer, well-timed special abilities (whether targeted at enemies or allies) generate a multiplier that makes attacks and healing more effective. The multiplier reduces and ultimately disappears if said abilities miss their targets.
• Players will have access to a Trance ability, allowing them to transform into past Final Fantasy characters temporarily. So far, only Cloud from Final Fantasy VII has been confirmed.
• A limited edition will be available at launch, priced at 13,000 yen. This Ultimate Box includes with the game a special 3DS XL cover, a mini-soundtrack album, artbook, and custom multi-pouch. This edition can be preordered at the Square Enix e-Store.

Final Fantasy Explorers launches in Japan on December 18.
