The official website for the upcoming Sigma Harmonics has been updated with plenty of new plot and character details. The game begins in Tokyo where the Kurogami family has long protected a giant grandfather clock in which demons known as “Ouma” are said to have been sealed. The Kurogami are “Sound Masters” that have a strange ability to use sound to make “miracles.” The protagonist, Sigma Kurogami, is heir to the family and has lived a peaceful life as a student until the world completely changed in the blink of an eye. Tokyo lay in ruins, humanity has vanished, and Ouma fly freely through the skies. Somehow, only Sigma and his classmate Neon Tsukiyumi have been spared.

The pair reason that the only way to have such a drastic change in their present would be for someone to have changed the past. Sigma and Neon decide to go back in time to find the cause and save their future, but that the past is nothing like the history they knew.

As mentioned before, Sigma is the main character. He is a “Sound Master,” and he is generally very calm and collected. He is joined by Neon, a “Ward Master” that uses wards to fight the Ouma. He is cheerful and optimistic. They also meet Shizuma Kurogami, the head of the Kurogami family from the past they travel to. He is the one that worked so hard to bring the Sound Masters and Ward Masters together into a cohesive group. Naturally, he is a dignified man. He is joined by his wife Yoshiko, who is a wielder of an as-of-yet undisclosed power. She is a gentle and charming woman. Shizuma’s mother, Ume also plays a part. She is a strict woman that regards protecting her family above all else.

Sigma Harmonics is an action RPG that will see release in Japan sometime this year.
