The latest issue of Famitsu brings us a pair of upcoming RPGs. First we have Item-Getter, a new action RPG announced by 5pb. for the Nintendo DS. Not much is know about Item-Getter at present save that alchemy will used to create new objects. It’s slated for a February 2009 release in Japan.

Sega also announced Phantasy Star Zero for the Nintendo DS. Character design will be handled by Toshiyuki Kubooka (Lunar Genesis), while Tooru Shiwasu, who worked on the Phantasy Star Online team, and Teru Arai, a mystery novel writer, will be working on the story. The game will feature an online multiplayer mode for up to four people via Nintendo WiFi, and its chat system will also allow players to send sketches on the touch screen. It’s due out in Japan sometime this winter.
