Blue Dragon Plus Flies High This March

Hot on the heels of its Japanese release, Blue Dragon Plus for the Nintendo DS has set its sights on the rest of the world. Ignition Entertainment Ltd. and AQ Interactive will be bringing the game to North America and Europe in March of 2009.

The game is directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, features character designs by Akira Toriyama, and boasts of a soundtrack composed by Nobuo Uematsu. It continues the story of Shu and company from the original Blue Dragon for the Xbox 360, and picks up one year later. The main storyline should take about thirty hours to complete and features over an hour’s worth of dual screen FMVs. Battles will take place in real time and allow players to control up to sixteen humans and Mecha Robos. Players will be able to collect items and equip them on humans and robots in order to customize them.
