Atlus Announces Shiren the Wanderer, Launches Demon’s Souls Site
Not to be left out of the E3 excitement, Atlus made a couple of announcements today as well. Shiren the Wanderer for the Nintendo Wii will be coming for North America in spring 2010. The roguelike RPG is actually the third in the series — at least in Japan. The game centers around a wandering adventurer named Shiren and his gregarious ferret, Koppa. It features randomly-generated areas and all the fighting of monster and collecting of items that you’d expect from the genre. There’s an official site, though so far it’s only a splash page with a couple of screencaps.
On the PlayStation 3 front, Atlus has launched the Demon’s Souls official website, which features a very shiny trailer. The dark fantasy game, boasting of a slew of unique online features, is due out this fall.

I’m looking forward to both of these games. I came very close to importing Demon’s Souls a while back and I’m glad I waited. As for Shiren 3 on the Wii, I enjoyed the DS Shiren game, so this is a guaranteed buy for me.
