These days, everyone loves countdown pages, and Square Enix has caught the bug. But more often than not, the pages of Shounen Jump spoil the secret before the timer hits zero, and this week’s reveal of Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden renders this page kind of moot.

We don’t know much, but we know it’s a DS game that has the same art designer as the Final Fantasy III DS remake. The story follows the adventures of a fourteen-year-old boy that has been tasked by the king to rescue his daughter, who was kidnapped by a witch. Other than that somewhat generic bit of plot, the rest remains a mystery.

There are a few other tidbits revealed so far. We know that changing equipment will change the looks of your characters, and apparently the game eschews a MP bar for something called a “Charge” meter. No idea what that’s for yet, but knowing Square Enix, we’ll find out plenty more soon.
