This week’s dose of Famitsu reveals that Level 5 is patching its PS3 RPG White Knight Chronicles again. The so-called 1st Wave arrived this past spring, and now the 2nd Wave will hit sometime next month.

The biggest addition to the game will be a Georama system similar to the one seen in the Dark Cloud games. Players will be able to build their own towns and invite in-game NPCs to move there. If they’re lucky, the NPCs may open shops that sell unique items. Players can even invite their friends to visit their towns. Level 5 is also tweaking the battle system, raising the guild rank cap, and throwing in some new equipment and clothing. Microtransactions will also be available, though the items will be mostly cosmetic in nature and will not offer any special advantage.

Level 5 also hinted at a sequel and stated that they hoped players would be able to keep busy with the first game until the second one comes out. There’s still no word as to when the rest of the world will have a chance to try out White Knight Chronicles, patches and all.
