RandomNPC – Video Game RPG Reviews, Editorials, and Features

Since I’ve joined Random NPC, it’s about time I do a bit of an introductory post, and there’s no better way to do that than by posting this week’s quests. For those of you out there that are wondering what kind of games I like, well, I enjoy SRPGs, fighting games, DDR, and just about everything that isn’t a sports game. I also enjoy long walks on the beach if any of you care.

This week, I’m playing Lost Odyssey. So far it’s really good, but it seems to have a bit of Xenosaga in it. Sometimes you watch more than you play, but the script has been fantastic with excellent voice acting. When I feel a need for breaks from that, I’m still slowly plugging away at Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn.

Michael “CactuarJoe” Beckett has yet to acquire a copy of Dungeon Explorer, so he is whiling away the hours catching Pokemons so he might show them to you. When he’s not busy catching cute critters, he has been mucking around with AudioSurf, whatever that means.

T.J. “Nerdboy Himself” Condon has forgone regular gaming this week to take the “See Freezepop Concert” sidequest. No word yet on how good it was, but it is assumed to have been very awesome.

Cortney “Alethea” Stone has put aside Disgaea for a bit to enjoy Final Fantasy Tactics: the War of the Lions, at least when her husband hasn’t stolen her shiny new PSP for himself. She is greatly enjoying the new translation and is happy to understand what exactly is going on. Apparently “I had a good feeling” wasn’t clear enough back in the PS1 days.

Derek “Roku” Cavin is playing some new game I’ve never heard of called ‘School.’ From the way he talks about it, it is taking up almost all of his time. He is so into it right now that he hasn’t made any progress in any of the other games he was playing.

Jerry “XeroZohar” Swain is enjoying Dead Rising these days. He has also been known to say “Moar Stargate plz.” Anything else he is up to is kept a secret for now. Perhaps after I attain great mugwump status, I’ll be privy to everything else he is up to.

Michael “Slayer of God” Kozinko just finished up The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and  is currently catching Pikachus in Pokemon Emerald to pass the time before he gets his hands on Devil May Cry 4 on his brand new PS3.

Jason “Ishmael” Schreier is impersonating a Vegas showgirl according to the newest intel. Well, ok. That’s not the newest information from him, but the truth is that he’s probably hunkered down in his bedroom watching Veronica Mars DVDs since the show was canceled nearly a year ago. Poor VMars. How we loved you.

John “Karlinn” Boske is finishing up the Witcher with plans to get another ending before reviewing it. He promises to get the Stalker review up shortly and plans on spending the rest of his time playing Mass Effect.

So that’s it for this week. Most of us are just counting the days until we get Smash Brawl. Until next time!
