Lost in Blue Washes Up On Shore

Konami has announced that Lost in Blue will be washing up on the shores of the Wii. Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! (working title) will be the series’ debut on consoles. The story will begin typically enough for the series: players will find themselves shipwrecked on a seemingly uninhabited island, one which will feature an assortment of dangers, ancient ruins, and an active volcano. At first players will have to struggle to survive but after that they can turn their attention to escaping the island or making a home there with their fellow castaways and their trusty pets.

Mini-games have always played heavily into the Lost in Blue series, but Shipwrecked adds a new twist by making use of the Wiimote and Nunchuck to allow players to realistically carry out the tasks they’ll need to perform in order to survive the wilderness. Classic mini-games such as carpentry, fishing and fire-making will returning and the game boasts of over forty mini-games in total.

“Building upon the success of the previous Lost in Blue DS titles, we wanted to give fans an extended experience in the first console version of the series,” said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “Bringing the series to Wii will ensure fans receive the most exciting, immersive survival adventure game to date.”

Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! is due out this fall. We’ll bring you all the new details as they wash in with the tide.
