RandomNPC – Video Game RPG Reviews, Editorials, and Features

If you live in or near New York City and play Pokémon, Nintendo would like to formally invite you to the Pokémon Platinum launch party. The event will kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Nintendo World store in Rockefeller Plaza. Not only will there be fun and games, those at the event will also be able to purchase the game a full day before hits shelves everywhere else in North America. Hit the jump for more details including how you can be one of the lucky few to get an autographed copy of the game or an extremely limited edition Pokémon Platinum Giratina DS.

The event will be filled with interactive game demonstrations, costumed character photo opportunities, great giveaways and showings of the newest Pokémon movie, Pokémon: Giratina and the Sky Warrior. Fans that choose to dress as their favorite Pokémon characters may qualify to play the “Pokémon Platinum Plunge” and dive into a 10 foot vat of colored balls for prizes that will include copies of the game or one of sixty ultra-rare Pokémon Platinum Giratina DS systems. A few lucky fans will also be randomly selected to purchase a copy of Pokémon Platinum has been autographed by game producer Junichi Masuda and game director Takeshi Kawachimaru.
