Dragon Quest IX Eliminates Pesky Multiple Saves
If you like to make multiple save files while playing a Dragon Quest game (or any RPG for that matter), we have some bad news for you. According to the game’s packaging, Dragon Quest IX will allow only one save at a time. This also spells trouble for any siblings who will be stuck sharing one copy of the game.

I’m not too concerned about this. A handheld system is usually personally owned and not shared. It would be more of an issue if DQ9 was a console-based game. Hopefully saving and loading is handled gracefully and without excessive prompting (imperial scrolls of honor nonsense) because of this.

Yeah, generally, this won’t be a problem, and when it is (in the case of sharing one copy) people will find that it’s easier to just get another copy, which means more moolah for SE.
