Current Quests: Week of 10/21/2007

Greetings all! Phew, first I must apologize for the low levels of (visible) work over the last few weeks. Illness followed by my monitor losing its brightness (if it worked at all) have teamed up with midterms to kick me in the face. I’m working hard to get caught up now that everything is in order, and we have a special treat coming up during Halloween week. It’s not candy, but we hope you enjoy it just the same.

But enough of that, let’s get on with the post, complete with corny puns. But is it good corny or the greatest corny? The answer may shock you.

Michael “CactuarJoe” Beckett is sailing around Hyrule while he waits for giant mech insurance. If all goes well, he’ll be tearing up/reviewing the past…which is also in the future…with his brand new Front Mission 1st Wanzer.

John “Karlinn” Boske purchased a strange Orange Box which made a Portal to the future and is replaying Fallout: Tactics. No longer living in fear, he will also be reviewing his former residence, Rapture, but probably not for another week or so. I guess he’s still in a state of Bioshock. Yeah, that was bad, but my coworkers have already pun-ished me for that. Okay, okay, I’ll be good. Moving on.

Cortney “Alethea” Stone has managed to defeat the massive final boss of Treasures of Aht Urhgan (FFXI). She is also playing through Radiata Stories, which she may review eventually.

Jerry “XeroZohar” Swain is messing around with the aforementioned Orange Box and has made a Portal to the Rockman universe. He will soon be blasting his way through ZX advent in all of its glory. Let’s hope that he doesn’t combine his blaster with the Portal gun.

Having completed Persona 3, Michael “SlayerGhaleon” Kozinko is having fun with the Mother/Earthbound series. He is also busy being Dhalsim.

Jason “Ishmael” Schreier is presumed to be lost at sea in Phantom Hourglass. If anyone sees him, please throw him a lifesaver. Our lifesaver was presumed delicious and can no longer be found.

As for what I’m doing, well, I haven’t really been able to play games since getting monitor functionality back and starting to play catchup. I hope that I’ll have time to finish off a few more vampires in Boktai 2 and/or Lunar Knights this week, but we’ll see. Other than that, I’m just finishing up these reviews from Growlanser, Soul Nomad, etc. If I’m unable to finish one by tomorrow, I’ll just post my review of Baten Kaitos Origins or something. Failing that, I shall run 15 miles. If I can’t do that, I shall do 1000 pushups.</Rock Lee>

Anyway, let’s hope this week turns out as well as we hope it will with no unexpected explosions or wrench-throwing moles, and please let us know if you have any feedback. Or nachos.
