Current Quests – Week of 01/20/08

Happy birthday to meeeeeeeeeee!

Welcome one and all to another Quests Roundup. Yeehaw!

Cortney “Alethea” Stone is currently still working on her renegade play-through of Mass Effect, with some beetle-squashing in Final Fantasy XI on the side with a certain Hume-boy.

Michael “CactuarJoe” Beckett is finding his new airship and base in Skies of Arcadia to be less than his customary level of piraticality, but nevertheless is pressing on. He also bemoans the dry spell that gaming has fallen into once again.

After spending a week in lovely scenic happy Aruba, John “Karlinn” Boske is on a similarly piratatious quest in Rogue Galaxy, but he finds himself nearing the end of his swashbuckling days. Mass Effect to follow soon enough. Not to mention a Let’s Play of “Redsun2020,” a Deus Ex mod.

T.J. “Nerdboy Himself” Condon lost his wallet and is picking his way through Soul Nomad, having not yet found the “key” to the system of the game that allows one to take it for all it’s worth. Supposedly this is common to all NIS games, but Disgaea was enough to turn me off, so who knows? Beyond this, expect editorials on the game as well as on the new Persona anime, after having followed the John Cleese rule.

Derek “Roku” Cavin has been in full busybusybusy mode this week, so no gaming at all for him. We hope he can get back to some fun game playing, but alas, the future is uncertain.

Michael “Slayer of God” Kozinko has busied himself with Tales of Phantasia PSX, Mega Man ZX, and Mega Man ZX Advent. The man has good taste. Getting a PS3 pretty soon, but we won’t hold that against him. Well, I will, because he’ll get to play MGS4 before me, but otherwise not.

Jason “Ishmael” Schreier is… er, where is he? Ish? Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish? *crickets*

I’ve had a fun week mostly, which is nice since my birthday is tomorrow. I finished building my new gaming PC, which is smokin’. I should get that looked at. As a result, I’ve been playing Crysis, as well as a smorgasbord of other things, including the aforementioned Mega Man ZX Advent, Descent, Rock Band, StarTropics (woo!), and Paper Mario. Had a joint b-day party with my friend and his fiance Saturday night, went to see Cloverfield today, and will end the day with a multiplayer match or two of Crysis with my good friend Karlinn. I’ve had a good set of days.

And now, the quote of the week!

<Roku> anyway, time for me to take up the magic toilet-cleaning wand and save the world from mildew
