Current Quests – Week of 04/06/08
Another week has passed, so that means that once again, it is time to get to this week’s Quests.
Michael “Cactaur Joe” Beckett has been enjoying portable games of late. In between bouts of Pokemon Pearl, he has been seen clutching his PSP to unlock the secrets of Midgar’s past by playing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, all while talking about how “purty” it is. For those of you wondering, it is very purty indeed.
T.J. “Nerdboy Himself” Condon has discovered Mana Khemia. In his own words, he is tearing through it “like a rabid mouse through cheese. Loving it to death.” In between that and sleeping, he still finds time to train his Pokemon, hoping one day to best this mysterious CJ, whose days of Poke-superiority are apparently numbered.
Joining T.J. in his love for Mana Khemia is Derek “Roku” Cavin. It is so very good that he has sworn off booting of Pikachus from Final Destinations while fending off charge shots from the various Samus lovers in the house. Personally, I don’t think ANY game is good enough to make someone stop booting Pikachus, but then again, I have a particular distaste for that yellow shock rat.
Cortney “Alethea” Stone has been showing all of us here at RandomNPC her best impression of a ladylike drunken sailor playing Wild Arms: XF. Though that sounds like an oxymoron, it has to be seen to be believed. She has finally finished the hardest battle yet, so we can only hope that a brighter future is ahead for her.
John “Karlinn” Boske has finished the Witcher, and a review is coming soon. He has decided that a trip through Ivalice is past due, so he has started playing Final Fantasy XII again. We’ve all agreed that if he starts running around claiming to be Captain Basch, we’ll point and giggle. And then haul him off to the loony bin. And then giggle some more.
Our resident admin Jerry “XeroZohar” Swain has replayed Metroid Prime, much to the dismay of about 294839 Space Pirates. In order to satisfy the RPG quota, he has been logging in a few hours on his GBA with Final Fantasy I. He also plans to start Opoona post haste. But most of all, he has been enjoying a rousing game of “no, you may not have cute kittens. not yours.” game. Ceiling Cat is not amused.
Michael “Slayer of God” Kozinko has finally succumbed to the will of Reggie and is logging away hours and hours in Smash Brawl. Okay. Not really. In all honesty, he’s replaying Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII on Ex Hard mode. It seems that it lives up to its name, a rarity these days.
And finally, despite my “Fly to Florida to Buy a House” quest, I’ve managed to play a TON of games. I’ve finished Mother 1 and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates. It’s amazing what one can do when one is in an airplane and spending evenings in a hotel all week. I’ve also started Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. It is without a doubt the most gorgeous handheld game I’ve ever played. I look forward to getting further into it.
