Final Fantasy IV DS Hitting Shelves July 22
Square Enix announced today via press release that the remake of Final Fantasy IV for the DS will hit North American retailers on July 22. The remake will include enhancements to the storyline along with retooled characters.
For those unfamiliar with the story, it centers around a Dark Knight named Cecil, the commander of the Red Wings, an elite force of airships belonging to the kingdom of Baron. Baron is seeking the power of the four elemental Crystals, something that troubles Cecil. His doubt for his king’s motives results in his dismissal of his post and eventually begins a quest for both for his own redemption and to stop the machinations of a power-hungry country.
Final Fantasy IV is rated E10+ for everyone at least ten years old and has an MSRP of $39.99. For more information check out the game’s official website.
