Current Quests – Week of 4/13/08

I find myself in quite a jaunty mood today. After watching the Penguins kick around the Senators in both their playoff games thus far, as well as reading this hilarious article on why the Pirates will continue to suck this year, I am primed to tackle our weekly article here. Onward!

Alethea continues her one woman war against Wild ARMs XF, and thanks to the game’s horrible balance(among other reasons), she’s having as much luck as Hulk Hogan did with his movie career. I wish her the best of luck.  Rip ’em, Cortney!

If my knowledge of the alphabet hasn’t betrayed me, I do believe human/Pokemon CactuarJoe is next. The Poke-man has been continuing his run through Crisis Core, which in turn makes him want to play the other FFVII games. I know the feeling. Dirge of Cerberus has an unruly hold on me, for whatever reason. I postulate Shelke has something to do with it.

Ah, J_Sensei. What can I say about him? He has a great marriage, he recently bought his own house, and he’s played through Mother 3 and understood it. In other words, he pisses me off. Putting that aside for the purposes of this article however,  he also has been playing through Crisis Core.

Karlinn is up next, and he’s been playing around in The Witcher, while eagerly anticipating the sequel, Nipslips 2: Electric Boogaloo. I am told he has also commenced a replay of FFXII.

My fellow denizen of the city that declared war on snow, Nerdboy, when not joining me in gloating over the inevitable demise of the Senators, has been progressing through Mana Khemia at a brisk pace. Roku also informs me that he’s attending a convention of some sort.

Speaking of who I affectionately refer to as “the good terminator,” Roku has also been progressing through Mana Khemia, though at a much slower pace. Even when he’s not sick all the time while taking finals every two weeks, he just doesn’t have that much time on his hands.

Which leads us to Xero, who has finished Opoona, and is actually going to write a review on it! So for all three of you who read his Steambot Chronicles review, you’re in for quite a treat!

Finally, we get to me. In my continuing bid to kill time until Persona 3 FES, I also bought Mana Khemia this week. I liken it to a Shin Megami Tensei title. In other words, it’s horribly paced and isn’t at all interesting until you’re 70-80% through it. At least Jessica is totally adorable.

Well, this is the end, I suppose. One of the people I’ve made fun of here will invariably be joining you next week. See ya.
