By way of the official website, Nippon Ichi have announced a new strategy RPG for the PSP. Dubbed Blue Roses: Yousei to Aoi Hitomi no Senshitachi, the game has a stated release date of September 16 in Japan according to the website, available here. No US release has been announced.
In an interview with Famitsu, four developers of The 3rd Birthday – Yoshinori Kitase, Hajime Tabata, Motomu Toriyama, and Iasmu Kamikokuryo – broke down a few of the more interesting features of the upcoming PSP action RPG. Creative producer Tetsuya Nomura had a few things to say as well, in a separate interview that was otherwise centered around Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Of particular interest are the following bullet points:

The official website for Pokemon Black/White has been updated to announce the Japanese launch date: September 18. No word has been given of a specific US release date, with nothing more than “Spring 2011” to go on for now.
Those of you who know your Japanese, or are good at figuring out pictures, can find more information on the website over yonder.
One of the understated bits of E3 news was the announcement of an iPhone port for Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, the PSP re-release of the original Tactics. Square Enix has just announced that the title will be available via the App Store on September 15, though no price has been set.

Final Fantasy XIV‘s director, Hiromichi Tanaka, has stated that the upcoming MMORPG will not be released on the 360. He singled out the Xbox Live service, claiming the “closed” nature of Live limited multiplatform development in sync with the PC and PS3 versions. Although it’s unclear whether talks are ongoing, Tanaka did say that they “couldn’t come to an agreement on Xbox Live.”
Considering Final Fantasy XI eventually shipped to the 360, and that XIV is still in beta testing, it’s impossible to say whether this will remain the case.

Woo. That was a frustrating little head-cold. But now I’m back on my feet, and I have a whole notebook full of scrawled notes and shorthand, which is unfortunate because I don’t read shorthand. Oh, wait… yeah, that was just a coffee stain. Fortunately, it didn’t seep through to the beautiful pages I reserved for our sit-down with director Hajime Tabata and artistic director Isamu Kamikokuryo. You might know them as the creative forces behind Square Enix’s The Third Birthday, the long-awaited next chapter in the Parasite Eve saga. If you don’t, you do now. They answered questions!

We got some hands-on time with Fallout New Vegas, as each of us applied our respective talents to various aspects of the game: Jordan did the talking, Derek did the looting, and I smacked a dude with a five-iron. Obsidian’s Chris Avellone was on hand to answer questions about things we didn’t have time to test.

In the closing hours of E3, Roku and I got a close look at a live demo of the mythical Deus Ex: Human Revolution. For this ardent Deus Ex fan, what followed would answer a lot – and I do mean a lot – of questions, and raise almost as many. Fair warning: for a pre-alpha version, the game looked remarkably intact, so this impression may spoil some of the full game.

More new screens out of E3, featuring, Atelier Rorona, Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll, Fable III, and Trinity Universe.
Oh and don’t worry, Slayer’s not dead. I promise I didn’t kill him with an overload of Nintendo E3 media yesterday or anything like that.

Square Enix’s support of the iPhone continues unabated, as the company announces the release of two classic games for the App Store. The first, Final Fantasy Tactics, is actually a release of the updated PSP version, and has a projected release date of September 15th. The second is Secret of Mana, the classic multiplayer Super NES title, which unfortunately has no release date as of yet.
John Boske and I had the pleasure of being invited to a round table interview with Tetsuya Nomura about the upcoming Kingdom Hearts games.

Even at E3, F.O.E. Atlus formally announced a North American release for Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City today. The game is due out September 21, and the official site is available here.
Those of you who know of the tangentally related IOSYS flash are hearing it in your heads right about now. Those who haven’t, well, you got a few minutes?
THQ doesn’t publish RPGs. Thus, I can accept this XBox 360 I just won at their booth with no question to my jounalistic integrity. Here’s a super-cute Final Fantasy game.

In a move sure to surprise some of the lawyers involved with the controversy surrounding this game, Interplay announced that Fallout Online will be accepting Beta applications starting immediately. Head on over to the game’s official site and take a look.
Fallout Online has been at the center of a legal dispute between Interplay and Bethseda for a while now, with suits and countersuits calling the eventual release of the game into question. In fact, Interplay previously announced that it would be attempting a Beta in 2012, making this announcement all the more surprising.
Following up on the DLC train, BioWare announced the release of some new content for Dragon Age: Origins. Called Leliana’s Song, it covers the story of a young Bard named Leliana and her mentor as they get involved in some nasty underworld schemes. The DLC includes fully voice acted cinema sequences, and a vaguely defined reward that will transfer to your Awakening and Origins campaigns.
Leliana’s Song will be available July 6th, and will cost around about $7.
