Ever since I was a little kid, I've always played games. I started on an Atari, and now I'm playing games on the current generation of hardware. I played most of the first generation Nintendo games, but when I started Dragon Warrior, I discovered my love for the RPG genre.

When I'm not playing games, I'm usually spending time with my lovely wife Caroline. We spend most evenings snuggled on the couch while we watch TV or play games together.

My other hobby, though I admit I don't give it nearly as much time as I used to, is Gundam. I love a good mecha anime, and nothing does it quite like a Gundam show. I've seen nearly every series out there, and I have built five perfect grade models.

I guess from all this, one can easily surmise that I am 27 going on 13. I don't mind that one bit, and I'd be disappointed if that changed. I've always been young at heart, and I intend to stay that way.

Friday, May 2nd, 2008 by | Posted in Game News

Some new details regarding the plot of Persona 4 have come to light. The game is set in Yasogami High School where a strange string of murders has been taking place. There is also an odd rumor going around the town about something called “Midnight TV.” Apparently, if you stare at the screen of a turned-off TV at midnight, you will see the face of the one you’re destined to meet. When the heroes go to investigate the rumor, they discover the gateway to another world on the far side of the screen.

Persona 4 will be released in Japan on July 10 for 7329 yen. So far, no announcement of a North American release has been made, but the series has had amazing luck getting localizations as of late.

The World Ends With You – Staff Review

Neku Sakuraba is a boy with a bit of a problem. He just woke up in the Shibuya’s scramble crossing, the busiest street crossing in the entire world, and he has no idea how he got there. In fact, he doesn’t remember anything other than his name. His only clue is a strange black pin with a skull on it. It’s not much to go on, and before he can figure things out, he is bombarded by peoples’ thoughts. Neku doesn’t even like other people, and yet, now he can hear everything they are thinking. If things weren’t going badly enough, he also got the strangest text message on his phone. “Get to 104. Fail and face erasure.” Despite his best efforts, Neku is unable to delete what is obviously some crazy spam message. And that’s when the frogs started attacking him. This is not a good day at all. In fact, it’s leading up to be a bad week. (more…)

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Rated by ESRB

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008 by | Posted in Game News

Since the debut of the ESRB rating widget, it has become one of the best ways to dig up information about unannounced games. A recent search shows that Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for the Nintendo DS has been rated “T” for Teen and features blood and fantasy violence. At this point, very little about the game is known. Konami has trademarked both the title and logo, but everything else remains a mystery. We’ll go out on a limb on this one, but it’s safe to say that Dracula will somehow pop up again with yet another castle to explore only to be stopped by a new vampire hunter. Either that or it’s about petting cute fuzzy bunnies. Only time will tell.
